The courier driver simply logs into Track-It-Stat via his Internet ready mobile device to view his list of scheduled pick ups. The process is straightforward. Upon arrival at the location / facility, the courier selects the corresponding address on his device and selects the bar code for pick up. This functions similar to how most phones work in selecting from lists like news, weather and sports, this interface enables the courier to enter relevant information about the pick up. The cellular connection allows the information to be transmitted in real-time to Track-It-Stat's centralized database. This information is then immediately available to users throughout the world.

Multiple Options And Flexibility for Users to Track Shipments
Track-It-Stat is designed to be highly flexible in how you can track shipments. Through the Web administration module, your personnel can set pick up & drop locations, schedule times, and assign courier vendors for those routes. Users in the field have three separate methods or any combination thereof to track and update shipment status.
Shipment tracking can be done by any of the following:
- Internet ready mobile phones or PDA's. You can immediately start using Track-It-Stat with any Internet ready mobile device. Existing mobile phones & PDAs are already capable of supporting Track-It-Stat, eliminating the need to purchase new phones. Over 2,500 different mobile handsets are supported. Bar code scanning attachments are not required. All you will need to get started is a User ID and Password. When the courier driver logs in, his pre-determined route schedule will appear on his mobile device. This is similar to how mobile phones work in selecting from lists like news, weather and sports. From their mobile device's screen, the courier driver can select the address for pick up, upon arrival at location they will select the bar code of the package for delivery and proceed to the next stop. And because Track-It-Stat is interactive, mobile web forms are displayed so that notes / comments can be made such as reasons for late pick up (weather, vehicle problems, etc.).
- Internet ready mobile phones with integrated camera. Supported mobile phone models are: Nokia 3230, 6260, 6600, 6620, 6630, 6670, 6680, 6681, 6682, 7610, N70, N90). You can immediately start using Track-It-Stat with any of these models using the integrated camera as a bar code scanner. No additional equipment is required and no bar code attachment to manage. Courier's and mail room personnel can use these phones by clicking a picture of a Track-It-Stat 2D bar code. Its that simple. A very small software program resides on the mobile phone device which interprets the barcode and updates the Track-It-Stat database in real-time. The camera functions just like a barcode scanner except without the additional cost.
- Internet ready SonyEricsson mobile phone with AC10 barcode scanner attachment. SonyEricsson models that support the AC10 bar code scanner attachment are: T610, T630, K500, K700, Z500, S700, S710a, V600i, K600i, K300i, 230i, and 290i. The barcode scanner easily attaches to the mobile phone. Users simply snap it on, scan their login bar code and they are ready to use Track-It-Stat.
All three options are designed to be interactive so that when a bar code is entered or scanned, a WAP page will be displayed on the device. This allows delivery personnel to enter specific information about packages such as weight, cash letter details, airway bill numbers and weights, and number of check bundles. |
